Paul Popham Running Club is proudly based at the LC2 Freedom Leisure facility. Following exciting discussions with Freedom Leisure, Popham Kidney Support is launching a series of community‑based Paul Popham Running Clubs across Wales. With the support of Freedom Leisure, we are bringing this initiative to Mid and North Wales at the locations listed below.
Our mission is to create fun, friendly, and inclusive running groups that welcome all abilities. These groups support local communities to enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of running, while also helping to raise awareness of Popham Kidney Support throughout Wales.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic runners who want to make a positive impact in their local community. Volunteers will help motivate others to get active and, as an added bonus, play a part in raising awareness and vital funds for Popham Kidney Support.
We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Freedom Leisure and are currently seeking two volunteers to launch new Paul Popham Running Club groups in the following areas:
If you live in one of these areas and would like to be part of this growing initiative, please download and review the role description, complete the volunteer application form, and we’ll be in touch. As a volunteer, you’ll receive Welsh Athletics training and guidance, a full induction and ongoing support from a dedicated committee made up of Welsh Athletics, Freedom Leisure, and other partners—all committed to helping you establish and grow your local community club.
