PPRC is 10 Years Old !

In February 2026, Paul Popham Running Club celebrated its 10 year anniversary. A number of events  will be taking place throughout the year to commemorate this achievement.

We kicked off the celebrations in February with our 10 year anniversary party and followed up with PPRC Park Run Takeover on 28th February 2026

SWANSEA BAY SUMMER 5K SERIES

Organised by Paul Popham Running Club – Supporting Popham Kidney Support

Swansea Bay Summer 5k Series and Fun Run 2026, is in its 8^th year!  The 5k Series is a fun and competitive event bringing club runners and fun runners from the local running community of Swansea and surrounding areas. There are three 5k races in the series giving runners an opportunity to improve their 5k time and their running fitness in the process. A great way to get running fit, compete in your first ever 5k race and have some fun.

The series is affiliated to Welsh Athletics, is fully licensed and counts towards runners’ power of 10. It is a flat fast course with stunning scenery of the Swansea Bay Coastline. There are trophies for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners of Junior, Senior, and Masters categories for each race and a trophy for the overall winner of those categories at the end of the series and a trophy for the club most represented throughout the series.

The Fun Run is a great way for primary schools and under 11 club runners to take part in an organized Summer Fun Run. There are two runs a 1k and 2k for different age groups. The 1k run is for School Year 4 and below and the 2k for School Years 5 & 6.  The fun runs are a timed 1k 1 lap around the cenotaph and the 2k run 2 laps around the cenotaph.

It is a great way for children to experience a race with a start and finish line and timing. There is a trophy for 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place only.

Entry fee includes:

• Food and drink at the end of the 5k Race (5k only)

All proceeds from the Series are donated to Popham Kidney Support, who support children, youths and adults with kidney disease, their families and carers in Wales, to lead a better quality of life.

We are excited to launch Paul Popham Running Club in Haverfordwest, bringing our proven approach to learning and improving running to a new community.

Our sessions are welcoming, structured, and designed to help you progress at your own pace in a supportive group environment.

Members can enjoy FREE weekly sessions, with five 8‑week running programmes each year, suitable for all abilities.

At the heart of the club is our proven Learn 2 Run programme, helping runners build confidence, consistency, and a lifelong enjoyment of running.
