Wear Wally 2026

Organised by Paul Popham Running Club – Supporting Popham Kidney Support

This year, 2026, inline with Paul Popham Running Clubs 10th anniversary they are changing things up!

The race will start at their training base HQ – The LC and they are bringing back the 10 mile run to celebrate their 10th year!

If you have taken part in the event, you may have had some fun, got lost along the route, worn a green and white hat and collected an annual badge!

This year will be slightly different with an out and back route, you won’t get lost and instead you could potentially earn a PB in a 10 mile race along the flat fast course! And if you do not fancy the 10-mile run you can take part in the 5-mile run or the 5k! Something for everyone!

And as with every Paul Popham Running Club event there is a charity element, funds raised will support children, youths and adults with kidney disease in Wales and their families to lead a Beter quality of life. By taking part in the event you will be supporting Popham kidney Support.

And the history of the event name, is located in the history of the charity. The name of the event ‘ Wear Wally’ is a play on words, Paul Popham, the patron of Popham Kidney Support nickname was Wally. He played football for a local Swansea team called St Joseph’s whose colours are green and white, which came from a kit they were given from Celtic at the start of their journey. As ‘Where’s Wally’ is red and white striped we ask people who enter to WEAR green and white stripes!

All entrants will receive a ‘Big Bobble Hat’ in green and white hat as part of their entry fee, and a dated badge when they complete the run.
